These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of missperception.co.uk and related pages operated by Missperception (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. Who we are

2. Copyright and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, all content on this website is owned or controlled by Missperception and protected by copyright, design right, and other intellectual property laws in the United Kingdom and internationally. This includes, without limitation:
- Sound recordings — marked (P) — including masters, teasers, promos, and streamed audio;
- Musical works — marked (C) — including compositions, lyrics, and arrangements;
- Artwork and photography — cover art, portraits, graphics, and visual assets;
- Audiovisual works — music videos, promos, and moving-image content;
- Text and code — copy, layout, and website materials.
Copyright notices appearing on the site (including “©”, “(P)”, and “(C)”) assert our rights. Ownership of copyright does not depend on these notices, but they put users on notice.
Missperception asserts its moral rights to be identified as author and to object to derogatory treatment of works, to the extent permitted under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 and applicable international treaties.
3. Trade marks
“Missperception”, associated logos, release titles, and distinctive branding are trade marks or trade names of Missperception. You may not use them without our prior written consent, except to refer to us or our releases in accurate, non-misleading editorial context.
4. Licence to use this website
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and view the site for lawful personal use. No rights are granted to copy, download, rip, sample, remix, redistribute, publicly perform, broadcast, or commercially exploit any content except as expressly permitted by law or by a separate written licence from us.
Listening via official streaming links or watching embedded/linked official videos is subject to the terms of the relevant platform (e.g. Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok, Meta).
5. Prohibited uses
You must not:
- copy, scrape, mirror, or harvest site content for commercial use, AI training, or dataset building without permission;
- upload our recordings or videos to unauthorised channels, torrent sites, or bootleg services;
- remove or alter copyright, trade mark, or rights-management notices;
- use our works in adverts, films, games, or sync without a licence;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or mailing-list data;
- use the site in any way that infringes third-party rights or applicable law.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted. Unauthorised use may result in legal action, takedown notices, and claims for damages or an account of profits.
6. Reporting infringement
If you believe content on this site or our official channels infringes your rights, email hello@missperception.co.uk or press@missperception.co.uk with:
- the URL or location of the material;
- a description of the work you claim is infringed;
- your contact details and a statement of good faith.
We may remove or disable access to disputed material and notify hosts, platforms, or distributors where appropriate under applicable notice-and-takedown procedures.
7. Press, sync, and commercial licensing
Editorial press enquiries: press@missperception.co.uk. Requests to license music for sync (film, TV, advertising, games), commercial playback, sampling, or merchandising must be agreed in writing before use. No licence is implied from contact, streaming, or social interaction.
8. Social media and automated posting
We operate official accounts on platforms including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others. Content published there remains our intellectual property. Tools we use to schedule or publish posts operate only on accounts we control. Platform terms apply in addition to these Terms.
9. Mailing list
If you subscribe to updates, you agree we may send occasional emails about releases and news. You may unsubscribe at any time. Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer
The site and content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that content will meet your requirements. Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, or professional advice.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special loss arising from use of the site. We do not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where applicable). Our total liability for any claim relating to the site shall not exceed £100 unless a court determines otherwise.

Links to distributors, streaming services, social networks, and other third parties are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of those services is at your own risk and on their terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change accordingly. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence where applicable.
